Our new training center began its work on 15th January 2024. We held an online training teaching on how to prepare a convincing business plan. As we had more than 200 applicants demonstrated, this is a topic clearly of interest to many young Afghans, both male and female. This first training was conducted by Kai Pflug, who explained the concept of business plans to the participants, provided details about the different sections of such plans, and answered questions from the participants. After the training, participants were invited to practice their knowledge by preparing their own business plans, which we then received and reviewed.
Here is a bit of the background. The StayIN International Training Center (SITC) is operating as a part of the StayIN organization – it fits in well with StayIN’s goal of promoting education in Afghanistan. The SITC offers a range of training programs for young Afghans, providing them with the resources to develop their skills. The goal of SITC is to provide educational opportunities to young Afghans via a commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and moral leadership. In addition, SITC focuses on professional development, technology, and innovation, social and cultural awareness, and online and offline accessibility.
In the future, the SITC will have at least one online training each month. We will ask different people from countries all over the world to conduct training on topics that are relevant to the target audience – young Afghans, particularly girls. The next training has already been scheduled and will be on preparing a CV – an important topic for young people applying for qualified jobs. The teacher will be an Australian lady, a teacher and librarian with huge expertise in this topic – of course, we want to make sure that the quality of the SITC courses is high.
For the future, we have a long list of topics in areas such as business skills and life skills, and are actively looking for willing and qualified trainers. Fortunately, quite a few people have indicated an initial interest in participating. However, if you are interested in being a trainer or know somebody who might be, please contact us. We will be happy to discuss possible topics with you.
