Petra Steiner completed her Masters of Arts in Media and Communication Sciences at the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. She also completed the Second State Exam for teaching. Furthermore she has participated in a training to become a resilience coach. Momentarily Petra Steiner is employed as a teacher in photography, audiovisual media and social studies at a vocational school in Germany.
Depression is a widespread phenomenon in society and therefore also in schools. Fortunately, it has received an increasing amount of attention. As a result the stigmatization of those affected is fortunately decreasing. In her work as a teacher, she is repeatedly confronted with severely depressed students and has therefore dealt with the topic in detail.
